HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR
SALARY : R171 537 per annum
CENTRE : George Regional Hospital
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum academic qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std7). Experience: Appropriate housekeeping journey in a clinic environment. Appropriate supervisory experience. Inherent necessities of the job: Ability to function bodily tasks, e.g. lifting heavy equipment. Willingness to works shifts, weekends, public vacation trips & night time duty.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to read, talk and write in at least two of the three reputable languages of the Western Cape. Supervisory abilities and most advantageous utilisation of sub-ordinates. Ability to operate activities structured tasks. Ability to adhere to protection standards, such as Infection Prevention and Control. Ability to do health facility hygiene audits. Understanding of sanatorium waste
management, linen management, catering and time management.
DUTIES : Supervise, coordinate, manipulate and look into the responsibilities of the Household Aids. Maintain a excessive wellknown of hygiene and tidiness in the unit/institution. Order and manipulate inventory and kitchen/cleaning equipment. Provide meals and drink to patients. Support nursing personnel with non-nursing functions. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and show the core values of the Department of Health: Western Cape Government in the execution of duties. Maintain self development.
