REQUIREMENTS : Applicants have to be in possession of a Grade 10 or equal Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET) stage three No journey required. Job associated knowledge: Knowledge of shops management. Knowledge of more than a few farm implements. Basic understanding of technical maintenance. Basic information of agricultural inputs. Stores and warehousing. Planning and organizing. Job associated skills: Communication competencies (verbal and written). Basic pc skills. Interpersonal skills. Analytical skills. Listening skills. Numerical understanding. Planning and organizing skills. Problem fixing skills. Work independently. Willingness to work prolonged hours.
DUTIES : Render help in planting of trials. Supply of fertilizers. Ensure availability of farm equipment. Co-ordinate provide of farm chemicals. Co-ordinate provide of planting equipment. General help with preservation of trials. General upkeep of the farm workshop. Co-ordinate repairs and renovation of
farm equipment’s. Safe retaining of strength tools. Maintain register of day to day used tools. Record retaining of all workshop tools. Housekeeping of workshop area. Ensure that all protection symptoms are seen in workshop. Ensure that defensive garb is worn in workshop. General protection of farm stores. Record keeping of pesticide store. Record retaining of fertilizer store. Maintenance of diesel register. Report resources that are walking low and facilitate procurement thereof. Report discrepancies and losses. Provide aid in the administration of assets. Assist in compiling and updating the applicable asset list. Identify and file redundant assets. Assist in compiling the disposal list. Facilitate disposal of waste. Assist with shifting and arranging of assets. Safeguarding of assets.
